Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing (ASA101) Certification
Description: Demonstrated ability to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered (outboard or inboard engine) keelboat of approximately 25 to 35 feet length by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Knowledge of cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather forecast interpretation, safety and seamanship.
Students are responsible for their own transportation to SD as well as their hotel accomidations. We have an outstanding relationship with The Pearl Hotel in SD and get amazing rates for our students that choose to stay there. If you are interested in staying at The Pearl, call 602-882-4398 and we can make the reservation for you to include the preferred rates out students receive. You will be responsible for the cost of the room upon arrival to the hotel. GoSailAZ will not receive payment for any hotel reservations.
